From the ditch to the top
A short and uphill trail that eventually rewards the hiker with a breathtaking landscape.
The trail partly follows paths, identified by the local signs with numbers 8 and 9, which are well signposted, but in any case we recommend using the GPX track that can be downloaded from this page.
Besides the Eastern Ridge, the trail can be reached directly from the Compendio Garibaldino by taking path no. 8 in the direction of Fosso Stefano. It is also possible to walk along only the last part of the climb by parking the car at the junction with the paved road and following path no. 9.
From Fosso Stefano go up along path no. 8 until you reach the junction with the paved road and take path no. 9. From here you can reach the steps carved into the rock that lead to the top of Poggio Stefano.
