The beach of the two seas
An easy but evocative walk in the southwest of Caprera to one of the island’s most stunning beaches.
The trail partly follows paths, identified by the local signs with numbers 3 and 4, which are well signposted, but in any case we recommend using the GPX track that can be downloaded from this page.
It starts immediately after the beginning of the Eastern Ridge or alternatively from the start of path no. 4, directly from the asphalt road that leads to Poggio Rasu.
Starting from the junction between the Eastern Ridge and path no. 3, follow the path until the paved road, then turn left and after a few dozen meters take path no. 4. The trail goes through the Mediterranean scrub, following occasional directions until the beach of Porto Palma. After walking along the beach, resume the path and below the military lookout of the ‘Turco morto’ you’ll arrive at the beautiful Cala Portese or ‘dei due mari’ (‘of the two seas’).
