The Compendio Garibaldino
The Compendio Garibaldino is the place where Garibaldi lived his years on the island and the site of the museum dedicated to him. Inside you will find: the Casa Bianca, home of the hero of two worlds, the temporary wooden house, Garibaldi’s first home on the island, the iron house where he set up his library, and the oil mill, furnace, stable and mill. In the center stands the huge “pine of Clelia”, which Garibaldi planted when his last child was born.
