Poggio Rasu

Poggio Rasu is the largest military fortification on the island. It is divided in the higher and the lower fortification of Poggio Rasu. The lower part of the structure was intended for military service quarters, such as barracks and storage areas, while the upper part, accessible via a drawbridge that is now collapsed, housed the imposing cannon batteries.
